How to Apply for Community Grants

The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, Komen San Francisco Bay Area is invested $170,000 in 4 local community programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved in the Bay Area. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. In 2014-15, Bay Area breast cancer researchers received more than $1.4 million from the Komen Research, Evaluation and Scientific Program.

Applications will be accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in the Bay Area starting in the Fall of 2016 for the fiscal year April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority.
