On Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom we will honor Bay Area

individuals who have made important advancements in medical research focused on breast

cancer and Bay Area philanthropists who have generously donated to breast cancer and

education programs.


 

 



HairToStay


HairToStay is the only national non-profit dedicated to providing financial support to patients who can’t afford scalp cooling. The HairToStay story began in February of 2010, when breast cancer surgeon and researcher Laura Esserman, MD, MBA and Director of the Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center at UC San Francisco wrote down the words “scalp cooling” on the back of a napkin at the Ferry Building restaurant in San Francisco and handed it to Bethany Hornthal.
