Don't miss the Team Captains meeting on Monday, July 28 at 6:00pm at the Sports Basement (Presidio Location)!! You'll be able to get all of the information you need for a successful Race for the Cure team experience. For attending, you will be given a Sports Basement coupon for 10% off and an additionall 10% of any purchases made that night (using the coupon) will be donated to Komen SF! The Presidion Sports Basment is located at 610 Mason St, the Presidio.

Team Challenge

Teams may compete in the following categories:

• Fastest Team - First and Second Place
• Largest Team - Team with the most participants
• Special Subdivisions for the largest teams:
    Corporate/Government; Small Business; Family & Friends; Schools/Education
• Highest Fundraiser Team - First and Second Place

Team Challenge Guidelines

Corporate and Organized Teams consist of any group of 10 or more individuals competing under one name. The Team Competition will be run as part of the Men's/Women's 5K Race.

Team Scoring:

• Teams are any group of 10 or more competing under one name.
• Team Competition for the Fastest Team is part of the 5K Run; a minimum of 5 team members must be registered for the 5K.
• No maximum limit for each team.

Team Registration Guidelines

• Team Captains must register for the Race by clicking "Form a Team" (Do not register as an Individual).
• Team numbers will be auto-generated.
• Team Members can register online or by the mail-in entry form. Team name and team numbers must be included on the mail-in form.
• Bibs and race information sheets will be mailed to each Team Member individually.
• No registration of Teams on Race Day, although individuals may register for a Team on Race Day.

The deadline for registering a team is September 11, 2008. All entry forms must be postmarked and/or received online by September 11th . Bibs and race information will be mailed to the individual runners and t-shirts may be picked up on Race Day. Team registration is NOT available after September 11, 2008.

Fundraiser and Matching Gifts

Team members should send in fundraiser forms and checks separately under their individual names. Will your company match your fundraising? (Please note: In order to count towards a team’s fundraising total, company matching gifts must be received before November 1, 2008.)
